Once we file a lawsuit on your behalf, the first phase of your lawsuit is what we call the pleading phase. That’s when we file the complaint or the writ of summons. We’re putting the other party on notice of what they’re being sued for and why, and that they’re being sued, and there’s a period of time where they can either object to that or they can answer it. So the length of time that this period takes can vary between 30 and 90 days, typically. Depends whether the other side objects, and if they object, the law firm will go to court, will argue over the objections, and once the court makes a decision, then they have to answer the complaint. They usually deny everything that we claim and we get started with the lawsuit.
