Diane is driven by the philosophy that personal injury law is truly personal; no injury or accident impacts two people the same way, so each case is deeply personal to the victim and should be treated as such by his or her attorney.
In addition to nearly 15 years’ experience in the personal injury field, Diane spent more than a decade working in the insurance industry. Her combined knowledge from these fields provides a unique perspective when representing her clients. She understands the mathematical, objective approach insurance companies take regarding injury claims, and she works tirelessly to change the paradigm and personalize each client’s claim to ensure they receive the compensation they deserve.
Diane takes pride in every one of her cases, and she is particularly impacted by those in which her persistence led to results her clients would not have otherwise been able to obtain.
In one notable case, for example, a 16-year-old was riding a bike when a car struck and killed him in front of his home. The police did not adequately investigate the accident or question the driver, and although the family retained outside counsel, the insurance company denied coverage by arguing the teen was wearing headphones. The father of the teen then asked Diane Sodano to investigate further into the situation. She subpoenaed for cell phone records, which allowed her to uncover new details about the accident. Her research found the driver was lost in the neighborhood and had made numerous calls in rapid succession before hitting the teen. As a result, the insurance company paid the family to its limit, and they were also able to recover their policy’s underinsured motorist benefits. As a result of Diane’s legal work, the family of the teen was able to get the answers and justice they wanted.
Diane earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University, and she received her law degree from Temple’s School of Law while working full time for Cigna Group Insurance. Prior to joining Ostroff Injury Law, she was an attorney in the Litigation Department of Grim, Biehn & Thatcher PC. and served as the firm’s executive director of the firm from August 2014 to November 2016.
Diane is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association.
As an active member of her community, Diane was active in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at her sons’ school, and her church’s youth ministry programs.
