When winning is the only option

What is Limited Tort?

This is the 1st of three videos Jon discusses about limited tort. It can be such a confusing topic. Jon explains it completely so you can understand it more and how you can help yourself and your family.

What is Limited Tort?

First he goes on to explain what limited tort is and what it means to you. In Pennsylvania you have two options, full tort and limited tort. They were instituted by the state of Pennsylvania in an effort to decrease the number of pain and suffering lawsuits in PA courts.

Limited tort is far less expensive and therefore more appealing to consumers. Unfortunately insurance carriers will deny claims for “serious injuries” if they are not dead, disfigured or crippled. In addition, some insurance carriers have blanket policies to deny all “limited tort” claims regardless of the type of injury. Therefore, if you are not educated in and have a complete understanding of the law, you could be putting yourself and your family at risk.

Research shows that people who are represented by attorneys often recover triple the amount of damages from insurance companies as compared to those who represent themselves, especially in cases like these. It is important to contact a lawyer after any accident, especially if you carry a limited tort policy. If you have a limited tort policy, Jon Ostroff will work hard to get you paid.
