What the Rainiest Year on Record Has Meant for Central Pennsylvania Drivers

It has been a while since we’ve seen consistent sunshine.  With three months to go, 2011 is already the rainiest year on record in Central Pennsylvania and September 2011 broke all previous September rainfall totals.

The reason we bring this up is not to provide you with interesting (and depressing) weather facts. We raise it because rainy weather is dangerous to drive in and has contributed to serious car crashes in our area in recent weeks.

As streets flood, vision is obscured and roads become slippery. Car accidents can occur.  While the elements certainly make driving more difficult, Pennsylvania drivers need to know how to drive safely despite the rains and floods. Drivers still have a legal responsibility to drive with reasonable care. If you have been hurt in a recent Central Pennsylvania accident then it is important to contact personal injury attorneys in PA for a free consultation about your rights and potential recovery.
