45+ Passengers injured in i80 Greyhound Bus Crash

45+ Greyhound Passengers injured and One Killed in the FOURTH Highway Bus Crash of 2013

At least 45 Greyhound passengers were injured, and one tragically killed, due to a horrific Greyhound bus crash that occurred in the middle of the night at about 1:30 am. This October 9, 2013 crash occurred on Route 80 near Williamsport, PA, when a Greyhound bus full of passengers slammed into the rear of a tractor trailer truck at highway speed.

Ostroff Injury Law Managing Partner Jon Ostroff, of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, represents many passengers who were injured in each of the previous Greyhound crashes that have already occurred in 2013. “It’s hard to believe that this is now the fourth time this year that a Greyhound bus full of passengers were involved in yet another violent, high speed interstate collision that occurred last night. The three previous crashes were caused by Greyhound bus drivers that passed out or fell asleep behind the wheel. We’ll be very interested to learn why this bus driver slammed into the rear of a truck in the middle of the night. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of yet another tragic Greyhound Bus crash.

On January 18, 2013, many passengers were injured shortly after sunrise, at 7:08 am, when a Greyhound Bus driver fell asleep on Interstate 79, near Erie, Pennsylvania.  This bus also slammed into the rear of a tractor trailer at highway speed.

On August 1, 2013, many Greyhound passengers were injured when a Greyhound Bus driver fell asleep at the wheel on Interstate 94, near Kalamazoo, Michigan. Once again, this bus slammed into the rear of a tractor trailer at highway speed.

Just 26 days before this Williamsport area Greyhound crash, on September 14, 2013, in the middle of the night at 3:50 am, many of the 52 passengers filling a Greyhound bus were injured on Interstate 75, near Cincinnati, Ohio. The driver of this bus passed out in the middle of the night, and veered off of the interstate at highway speed, rolling over four times and ejecting one passenger through a window, before it ended up in a rural cornfield hundreds of feet off the highway. Victims of this crash from about three weeks ago still remain hospitalized at the time of this fourth Greyhound crash near Williamsport, PA.

If you have been hurt in any sort of bus accident, don’t surrender meekly to high-pressure tactics to get you to surrender your rights to full compensation.
