Karen Ronan,
Paralegal
"If someone injured a family member of mine, I would want them to be taken care of as well as we take care of our clients."
In high school I took a criminal justice class. I really enjoyed the ins and outs of the law. After working in various areas of law over the past many years, my favorite type of legal work is personal injury, where we get to help injured victims. Working as a paralegal at Ostroff Injury Law has given me great pleasure, because I know I am helping someone who has been injured by the negligence of someone else.
If someone injured a family member of mine, I would want them to be taken care of as well as we take care of our clients. I know that it is bad enough to be injured, but then to have to deal with insurance companies and medical providers gets to be too much. Insurance companies see people as a number, not an individual. They want to get you out of their system for as cheaply as they can, as quickly as they can.
I need to work to support my family. It truly helps me to come into the office every day knowing I have co-workers who enjoy what they do. We enjoy each other's company. We are a 'work family'. We know that our clients depend on us to fight for them. We fight for our clients like we would fight for our family. As a staff, with each victory or tragedy, we feel pride together or we cry together. Because we all care about our clients and we all care about each other, it makes it that much easier to come into work each day.
