About Ostroff Injury Law
Richard H. Hausman, Esq.
Richard H. Hausman is a partner at Ostroff Injury Law where he primarily focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury litigation and worker’s compensation. Since 1993, Rich has been fighting for the rights of accident victims in courts all over the state of Pennsylvania and also in the Federal court system. Rich has extensive trial experience in all areas of personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice, products liability, motor vehicle accidents, catastrophic injury and premises liability.
Rich was originally an associate at the defense firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin where he litigated cases on behalf of insurance companies and their insureds. While he was a defense attorney, Rich discovered that his real desire was to represent accident victims instead of representing those that cause harm to others, along with the insurance companies that try and protect them. This experience as a defense attorney gives Rich a unique perspective and advantage for his personal injury and worker’s compensation clients in preparing the best litigation strategies for each case. Rich's understanding of how an insurance company will defend a case allows him to litigate against and negotiate more effectively with the insurance companies on behalf of his injured clients, as he knows how to maneuver through the many layers of insurance company bureaucracy in order to obtain excellent recoveries for his clients.
Rich received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 and earned his law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1990. As part of his course of study, he completed a semester of law school at Temple University’s Rome, Italy campus. Rich also completed an intensive Trial Advocacy course at the University of Virginia School of Law.
Rich is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania as well as before the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
