Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) of Pennsylvania has designated Jon an "Honorary Member." Jon has frequently been called upon by MADD to be a featured speaker at various functions. Because Jon himself has lost friends and has family members who've endured severe injuries and loss at the hands of drunk drivers, he is deeply committed to the many victims of these tragic crashes. Because of the excellent results he has obtained on behalf of victims of drunk driving crashes and the unwavering commitment he has shown to these victims while handling their cases, MADD representatives recommend Jon to crash victims who contact the organization in search of a lawyer.

Special Master Ken Feinberg and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer honored Jon on behalf of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund for his tireless pro bono (free) representation of those injured and killed in the 9/11 tragedy.

Forbes magazine honored Jon with the New Enterprise Award for his innovations in business and enterprise after he founded Divorce Done Right, which offers families a peaceful and inexpensive alternative way to divorce.

Only two days after Hurricane Katrina wiped out the Gulf Coast, Jon arrived to spend two weeks assisting in the massive cleanup effort. Since then, Jon has continued to support victims of this terrible disaster.

Commitment to Community

Jon Ostroff, founder of Ostroff Injury Law, was honored by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Hon. Stephen Breyer and Special Master Kenneth Feinberg for the pro bono work he performed on behalf of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy. Jon handled the country's first formal 9/11 hearing before Special Master Feinberg. This case set important precedents that benefited thousands of individuals who filed subsequent claims with the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. For this work, Jon was also a member of — and honored by — Trial Lawyers Care, the group of lawyers who led the largest pro bono effort in history following the horrific events of 9/11.

Simply stated, Jon is deeply committed to his clients, to his profession, and to his values. Jon has passionately fought for his clients since his graduation from Delaware Law School in 1989. Previously, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Business School at Pennsylvania State University. While in law school, Jon held the prestigious position of assisting Honorable Daniel Hermann, Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court.
